Samsung and Huawei are pressing two very different claims for the title of the most capable Android-compatible smartwatch. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 arrived on August 7, 2026 at $699, with a 3nm processor, a 5,000-nit display and a major battery increase. Huawei’s Watch Ultimate 2 has been on sale since September 2025, starts at about $899 and is built around premium materials and a far more ambitious diving specification. According to comparisons published by Memeburn, the result is less a direct showdown than a choice between two specialist devices.
