Affinity's unified creative suite reportedly targets iPad launch in November

Affinity is reportedly preparing to bring its combined photo, design and publishing app to iPad in November 2026, with the desktop suite’s free core model expected to carry over.

Affinity’s long-awaited iPad release now appears to be pencilled in for November, according to reports that the company has been signalling the launch on Instagram since September. The timing would bring the tablet version into line with the wider rollout of the redesigned Affinity suite, which has already reached desktop users.

The iPad edition is expected to mirror the structure of the desktop app by combining Affinity Photo, Designer and Publisher into one package. In practical terms, that means users should be able to move between raster image editing, vector illustration and page layout within the same workspace, rather than switching between separate applications.

AppleInsider reports that the unified iPad app, often referred to as Affinity Studio, is due in November 2026, after the desktop launch in late 2025. Other coverage has described the iPad build as still forthcoming, but without a specific date until now, which makes the November target the clearest indication yet that release is approaching.

The software is also expected to follow the desktop model on pricing. That means the core app should remain free, while AI-powered functions are likely to be reserved for Canva Premium subscribers. For iPad users who work across illustration, retouching and layout, the release would finally bring the full Affinity workflow to Apple’s tablet platform.
