Apple’s iOS 27 to feature major Siri AI overhaul in September 2026

Apple is anticipated to release iOS 27 on 14 September 2026, introducing a significant upgrade to Siri AI alongside performance and security improvements, marking a major shift in its smart assistant capabilities.

Apple’s iOS 27 is now expected to arrive on Monday, September 14, 2026, if the company follows its usual mid-September cadence. Geeky Gadgets pointed to Apple’s long-running habit of releasing major iPhone software on Mondays in that window, noting that recent launches in 2024 and 2025 both landed on that pattern. If Apple slips, the next plausible date would be Monday, September 21, 2026.

That timetable is consistent with the current development cycle. MacRumors reported in June that Apple had opened developer beta access for iOS 27 and its related platforms, with public betas following in July. The final public release was still described as a fall launch at that stage, but September has remained the most likely target.

The headline feature remains a broader overhaul of Siri, which Apple is calling Siri AI. According to Apple’s June announcement, the assistant is being positioned as part of the next generation of Apple Intelligence and is available for testing in developer builds on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro.
