ATEN Japan has unveiled the CS1942DPA, a dual-port KVMP switch supporting 8K resolution and multiple display setups, designed for demanding professional applications and complex workstations.
ATEN Japan has started shipping the CS1942DPA, a two-port KVMP switch aimed at users running dual DisplayPort PCs from a single keyboard and mouse. The unit is being sold through the company’s official online store and is designed to reduce desk clutter while keeping two systems immediately accessible. According to ATEN and retail listings, the device also sits within the company’s broader 8K-capable KVM range.
The switch supports high-end display formats, with ATEN citing up to 4K at 120Hz and 8K at 60Hz, alongside HDR10+ support. Retail information from B&H Photo Video and IOGEAR also places the product in the 8K class, and notes compatibility with DisplayPort 1.4 features, including dual-display use. That makes the CS1942DPA more than a basic peripheral switch: it is intended for workflows where image fidelity and refresh rate matter, such as editing, development and gaming.
The hardware is also built to share attached devices across machines. ATEN says the CS1942DPA includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with two ports, allowing flash drives, printers and scanners to be moved between computers without constant re-cabling. IOGEAR’s product information describes SuperSpeed 5Gbps transfer support, while B&H lists additional audio connections for speakers and microphones. Compatibility covers Windows, macOS and Linux.
For users who want a more complex workstation, the CS1942DPA can be linked with a second unit through its DCC port to expand into a four-computer, four-display setup.
