Beats has launched the Beats 360, a modular over-ear headphone featuring enhanced active noise cancellation, up to 32 hours of battery life, and IPX4 sweat resistance, promising greater versatility for workouts and travel.
Beats has launched the Beats 360, a new pair of over-ear headphones built around a modular design that lets owners swap both the ear cushions and the headband padding. In Malaysia, the model arrives in Black with Black, Cloud with Cloud, Pink with Pink and Sky with Sky finishes, while replacement cushion kits are sold separately in Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt, according to the launch material and Apple’s local store listing.
The headline technical claims centre on active noise cancellation, battery life and durability. Beats says the ANC system is 1.75 times more effective than on the Beats Studio Pro, while battery life is rated at up to 32 hours. A five-minute charge is said to provide up to one hour of playback. The headphones are also the first Beats model designed to meet IPX4 sweat resistance, which should make them better suited to workouts and travel than earlier non-rated models.
There are practical controls on the earcups, including physical buttons for music playback, volume adjustment, sound modes and power. The headphones also support fast pairing on both Apple and Android devices. On Apple hardware, that includes one-touch pairing, Siri access, automatic switching between devices, Audio Sharing, FaceTime with spatial audio and Find My tracking. Android users get Google Fast Pair, Audio Switch and location tracking through Find Hub.
Independent coverage has been generally positive about the feature set, although not uniformly enthusiastic about the noise cancellation. Tom’s Guide said the ANC is strong, but still does not quite outclass rivals from Bose and Sony. Pricing is set at RM1,249 in Malaysia, while replacement cushion sets cost RM199, according to Apple’s store and the local launch reports.
