MAKERZ has launched the SOLIDZ Power Bank Model QT, a wireless charging mobile battery that is only 6.8mm thick. The product is the first wireless charging model in the company’s SOLIDZ Power Bank line and is now on sale through Amazon Japan and MAKERZ’s own online store. According to the company, the device is built around a semi-solid battery design intended to reduce fire risk.
The slim format places it in a category where safety and packaging density often conflict. MAKERZ says the semi-solid cell structure lowers the proportion of liquid electrolyte, which is meant to make the battery less prone to ignition under damage. The company has also published images of destructive testing, including puncture, cutting, crushing by a car and bending, to support its claims about resilience. Real Sound Tech and PR Times both noted that the launch comes amid wider concern about the safety of mobile batteries.
Pricing in Japan is set at ¥8,980 on Amazon, with a 15% launch coupon available. MAKERZ’s own shop offers member-only pricing. The company says the new model is designed to combine thinness, capacity and wireless charging in one unit, while addressing the safety concerns that have increasingly shaped buying decisions in the mobile battery market.
The QT sits within a broader SOLIDZ range that also includes a Qi2.2 wireless charger with 25W fast charging, cable-integrated power banks in 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh versions, and a 240W USB-C cable with a stainless-steel outer layer. MAKERZ, a new business established by Keyence, is positioning the series as a safety-led alternative to conventional lithium-ion power accessories.
