Motteru introduces two new wired USB Type-C earphones, featuring noise cancellation and sleek design options, targeting on-the-go users seeking simple plug-in audio without Bluetooth.
MOTTERU has introduced two USB Type-C wired earphones aimed at users who want simple plug-in audio without Bluetooth pairing or charging. According to the company’s announcement, the new models are the MOT-EPCNC01, which adds noise cancelling and ambient listening modes, and the MOT-EPC01, which focuses on everyday wired use with a built-in microphone remote. Both are being sold through the company’s own channels and online marketplaces, with launch-time discounts of up to ¥1,160.
The MOT-EPCNC01 is the more feature-rich model. It lets users switch between noise cancelling and ambient mode with a single control, making it easier to block external sound or hear surrounding voices when needed. MOTTERU says the earphones are tuned to emphasise the midrange, where speech sits, so they should work well for calls, video meetings and online classes. The cable includes in-line controls for playback, calls and volume, and the earphones ship with three sizes of washable silicone tips.
The MOT-EPC01 takes a more style-led approach. It comes in Almond Milk, Pale Iris and White, and MOTTERU is positioning it as an accessory as much as an audio device. Like the higher-end model, it uses a USB Type-C connection for direct use with smartphones, tablets and other devices, and it also avoids Bluetooth latency. The company says the sound profile again favours clear voice reproduction, while the in-line remote allows users to control music and calls without taking a phone out of a bag or pocket.
On specifications, the two models share a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response, 32-ohm impedance and a one-year warranty. The MOT-EPCNC01 uses a 12mm dynamic driver, weighs about 21g and has a 1.4m Y-shaped cable, while the MOT-EPC01 uses a 10mm driver, weighs about 14.6g and has a 1.2m cable. MOTTERU says both products work with a broad range of USB-C devices, including recent iPhone and iPad models, Android handsets, notebooks and Nintendo Switch. Comparable USB-C earphones from other makers, such as OWL-EPC01, show that this category is already established, but MOTTERU is differentiating its models with noise cancelling, styling options and launch discounts.
