Nitecore's NB10000 Gen2 redefines lightweight portability for outdoor-ready power banks

Nitecore’s NB10000 Gen2 offers a sleek, lightweight design with advanced durability and versatile charging features, targeting outdoor enthusiasts and commuters seeking practical, carry-anywhere power solutions.

Nitecore’s NB10000 Gen2 is pitched as a travel-friendly power bank for users who care as much about weight as capacity. The 10,000mAh unit weighs 150g and is 10.6mm thick, which places it among the slimmer portable chargers in its class. The company says the casing uses carbon fibre reinforced polymer to keep the body light while improving resistance to knocks and everyday wear.

That combination makes the NB10000 Gen2 easy to carry in a pocket, rucksack or running vest. Nitecore also gives it an IPX5 water-resistance rating, which means it can cope with rain and splashes but is not designed for immersion. The battery is therefore aimed at outdoor use, commuting and backup charging rather than desktop charging stations.

On the charging side, the power bank offers a USB-C port with up to 20W output and 18W input, plus a USB-A port with up to 18W output. That allows two-device charging, and B&H Photo Video notes that it also includes a low-current mode for smaller accessories such as wireless earphones and smartwatches. In practice, that makes it more versatile than a basic single-port compact battery.

Nitecore’s wider product line suggests where the NB10000 Gen2 sits in the market. The company also sells the Carbo 10000 Gen2, which is a more heavily specified outdoor model with 30W two-way charging and an IPX8 waterproof rating. Against that backdrop, the NB10000 Gen2 looks like the lighter, simpler option: less about maximum output, more about portability and daily practicality.
