Pexar has launched the PexarBolt Ultra TBT5 Dock, a premium 22-port Thunderbolt 5 hub featuring a 5-inch touch dashboard aimed at creators and power users seeking real-time data insights and advanced connectivity options.
Pexar has launched a new Thunderbolt 5 docking station that tries to make the desk itself more informative. The PexarBolt Ultra TBT5 Dock centres on a 5-inch touch dashboard, which is intended to show connection, transfer, storage, power and thermal data at a glance rather than leaving users to infer what the dock is doing in the background.
According to Pexar and a press release distributed via PR Newswire, the 22-port dock is aimed at creators and other power users working across macOS and Windows systems. It supports up to 80 Gbps of bidirectional Thunderbolt 5 bandwidth, with Bandwidth Boost raising transmit capacity to 120 Gbps for display-heavy workloads. The same material says the dock can deliver up to 140W USB Power Delivery 3.1 to a compatible laptop.
The display and storage options are pitched at demanding media workflows. Pexar says the dock includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1, plus two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, with support for either dual 8K 60Hz screens or triple 4K 144Hz displays depending on configuration. It also adds CFexpress Type B, SD UHS-II and microSD UHS-II card readers, alongside a PCIe Gen 4 x2 M.2 NVMe slot for local storage or backups.
TechRadar reported that the dock also carries a rotating metal dial for navigation and that some dashboard functions rely on Pexar’s desktop software. The company says an AI Status feature can let users approve or reject requests from supported AI coding agents from the dock itself. Cooling is active rather than passive, with the aluminium housing designed to help with heat dissipation during sustained use.
Pexar has also positioned the product as a premium creator accessory, rather than a conventional hub. The company says the dock was recognised as a 2026 IFA Innovation Awards honoree in content creation technology. Its Kickstarter campaign opened on 8 September with an early-bird price of $479, before a planned retail price of $649.
