The wall-mounted adapter turning one socket into seven connections

The compact LENCENT adapter combines three mains sockets with four USB ports, offering a cable-free way to reduce clutter at bedsides, shelves and small workstations.

A compact multi-socket adapter is being presented as a practical answer to one of the most common domestic frustrations: too few plugs in the places where people actually need them. According to EL PAÍS Escaparate, the LENCENT unit combines three mains sockets, three USB-A ports and one USB-C port in a single wall-mounted accessory, making it possible to power a laptop, a lamp and several smaller devices at the same time without adding another trailing cable to the floor or desk.

Its appeal lies in how much it condenses into a small footprint. The three AC sockets are spaced apart to reduce crowding from bulky plugs, while the USB section is intended for everyday charging of phones, tablets and wireless earbuds. Comparable cube-style desktop units listed by other retailers show the same design logic: a tidy block that replaces a separate charger stack and keeps sockets accessible in a confined area. Some models on the market go further by offering higher-wattage USB-C output or longer cables, but the underlying use case is the same: reducing clutter while increasing the number of usable connections.

The LENCENT model differs from some rivals in one important respect: it plugs directly into the wall and does not use a lead. That makes it better suited to bedside tables, shelving and compact workstations where dangling cables are undesirable. EL PAÍS Escaparate says the device measures roughly 7.6cm on each side, includes a master switch, and comes with claimed protection against overheating and voltage surges, alongside a flame-retardant housing. Those features are common in this product category, with other multipoint adapters also advertising surge protection, overload safeguards and one-touch power control.

The outlet’s USB-C port is rated at 15W, which is useful for topping up accessories but should not be confused with a fast-charging brick designed for demanding devices. That distinction matters, because the total number of ports does not mean every connected device will draw full power at once. The publication also notes that the unit uses a European two-pin plug and should not be treated as a substitute for heavy-duty mains equipment such as ovens, washing machines or tumble dryers. In other words, it is a space-saving convenience accessory rather than a universal power solution.
