The one-metre cable displays live voltage, current and power readings, with support for USB PD 3.1 charging up to 240W, during Amazon Japan’s Prime event.
UGREEN is selling a 1-metre USB-C to USB-C cable at a reduced price during Amazon’s Prime event in Japan. AppBank says the price has been cut to ¥2,392 from ¥3,190, a discount of 25%, and that the offer is due to end at 23:59 on 19 October 2026. The deal is limited to Prime members. According to the product listing, the cable is positioned as a higher-spec charging lead for users who want more than a standard accessory.
Its main selling point is a small TFT display built into the connector. AppBank says the screen shows voltage, current and power in real time, and that users can change the orientation with a light touch or switch the display off with a longer press. The cable includes multiple viewing modes, which makes it possible to check charging conditions at a glance without relying on a separate tester. For anyone charging high-draw devices, that kind of live read-out is the feature that sets it apart.
The cable supports USB Power Delivery 3.1 and is rated for up to 240W, or 48V and 5A. UGREEN’s own UK shop describes the same cable as using an intelligent E-Marker chip, with support for data transfer up to 480Mbps. AppBank also says the product is designed to protect against overcurrent and overvoltage, and that the display can be turned off completely, which may be useful for bedside charging. The company claims the build uses a braided nylon jacket and aluminium alloy connectors, with durability tested beyond 10,000 insertions and removals.
AppBank says the cable is suitable for a wide range of USB-C devices, including MacBook Pro models, MacBook Air, iPad Pro, Chromebooks, Galaxy phones, Pixel handsets, Xperia devices, GoPro cameras, other cameras and PS5 controllers. The same report notes that it does not support video output or monitor expansion, so buyers looking for display connectivity will need a different cable. For users mainly interested in charging laptops, phones and accessories from a single lead, the feature set is more practical than flashy.
