Google Pixel 11 series set to shake up premium smartphone market with AI enhancements and higher prices

Leaked details suggest Google’s Pixel 11 series will feature a significant hardware refresh, advanced AI-driven features, and a notable price increase ahead of its debut at the Made by Google event this week.

Google’s Pixel 11 series is expected to make its debut this week, with the Made by Google event set for August 12 in New York and beginning at 3.30am IST on August 13 for viewers in India, according to reports. The range is expected to include four devices: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Several leaks have outlined a significant hardware refresh for the standard Pixel 11. The phone is said to use Google’s Tensor G6 chip, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. Reports also point to a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with Titan M3 security hardware. Android 17 is expected out of the box, and an in-display fingerprint sensor is also tipped.

Camera and battery details have also emerged ahead of launch. The base model is said to carry a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 10.5MP front camera. On power, leaks suggest a 4,985mAh battery with 30W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging support. If accurate, the phone would mark another step in Google’s effort to combine AI-focused silicon with modest but practical imaging and battery upgrades.

Pricing remains unconfirmed, but the leaks suggest a notable increase. The Pixel 11 may start at about $899, or roughly ₹85,500, while the Pixel 11 Pro could cost $1,099, the Pixel 11 Pro XL $1,299 and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold $1,899. Gadgets 360 and Android Central have both reported that Google may drop the 128GB base tier for its flagship phones, which would help explain the higher entry price. Colour options have also been mentioned in separate leaks, with grey, black, pink and green among the possibilities, though none of this has been officially confirmed yet.
