Motorola set to unveil the Moto G Max in India on August 14, featuring a massive 7,000mAh battery promising up to three days of usage, challenging endurance norms in the competitive smartphone segment.
Motorola will bring the Moto G Max to India on August 14, setting up a battery-led pitch in a market where endurance remains a major selling point. The company plans to unveil the phone at 12pm IST and sell it through its own website, Flipkart and selected offline retailers. Pricing has not yet been announced, leaving the launch event as the key moment for final commercial details. Motorola says the device is aimed at buyers who want long battery life, dependable daily performance and rugged hardware. According to the company’s specifications, the phone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 platform with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 storage.
The headline feature is a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 30W wired charging. Motorola claims that, under suitable conditions, the battery can last for up to three days. That puts the model among the more heavily equipped endurance-focused smartphones in its segment and marks a clear contrast with the Brazil launch of the Moto G Max earlier this year, which used a different hardware package and a smaller battery. In Brazil, Motorola positioned the phone around a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip and a 5,200mAh battery, suggesting the Moto G Max name is being adapted for different regional line-ups rather than tied to a single global specification.
For India, Motorola is also specifying a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,050 nits. The base configuration will come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, though more variants may follow later. On the camera side, the phone is set to include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 32-megapixel front camera.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Android 16 at launch, two major operating system upgrades and three years of security updates. Motorola is also listing an IP64 rating for protection against dust and splashes. The handset will be offered in Pantone Alaskan Blue, Malaga and Stargazer finishes.
