OnePlus reaffirms commitment to India with aggressive expansion and new product launches in 2026

Despite reports of Oppo reassessing its overseas presence, OnePlus doubles down on India through a broad product portfolio, extensive service network, and online-first strategy, signalling its continued focus on the key Asian market in 2026.

OnePlus appears to be doubling down on India even as reports suggest its parent, Oppo, may be reassessing the brand’s presence in some overseas markets. In comments reported by Gadgets 360, Rahul Arora, OnePlus India director for sales and affordability, pointed to a broader smartphone range, a larger internet-of-things portfolio and an expanded service footprint as evidence that the company still sees India as a core market.

That commitment is backed by a brisk product cadence in 2026. OnePlus has launched the Nord 6, Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite, along with devices including the OnePlus Pad Lite, Pad Go 2 and Pad 4, plus the Nord Buds 4 family. The company said its smartphone business grew 74% year on year in the first half of 2026, citing CyberMedia Research, while its tablet business reportedly rose 23% in the same period.

Service coverage has also become a central part of the strategy. The Times of India and other Indian publications reported that OnePlus has increased its authorised service network to more than 600 centres across 500 cities, extending access into tier 2 and tier 3 markets. OnePlus has described the expansion as part of a wider effort to make support more convenient and maintain a premium service experience for customers.

At the same time, the company is leaning further into an online-first model. Arora said OnePlus continues to work with retailers including Croma, Reliance, Bajaj and Vijay Sales, while also operating Experience Stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. The brand is pushing affordability through no-cost EMI, bank discounts, consumer finance, trade-ins and upgrade schemes, and it is also trying to build loyalty among younger buyers through campus programmes, gaming tie-ins and creator campaigns. For now, OnePlus has not confirmed any plan to leave India, and the latest remarks suggest the opposite: that India remains one of its most important growth markets.
