TCL has launched its NXTPAPER smartphone series in the Philippines, emphasising eye comfort, battery endurance, and productivity features in a move to broaden its mobile presence with display-first innovations.
TCL has brought its smartphone range to the Philippines, extending a business long associated with television displays into mobile devices built around eye comfort, battery life and productivity. The launch centres on three models: the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, NXTPAPER 70 Pro and K70 Power 4G, each aimed at a different type of user but all tied to TCL’s display-first approach.
At the heart of the line-up is NXTPAPER, the company’s proprietary screen technology first introduced in 2021. TCL says the system combines hardware and software elements to reduce eye strain while preserving colour and clarity, creating a more paper-like viewing experience for reading, work, streaming and everyday scrolling. That focus continues a wider company strategy seen in earlier NXTPAPER devices and in the expansion of the 60 series.
The NXTPAPER 60 Ultra is positioned as the most advanced model in the group. TCL says it is designed for people who work on the move, pairing a 7.2-inch 120Hz display with AI-assisted productivity tools, dual 50-megapixel rear cameras, a 32-megapixel front camera and a 5,200mAh battery. It also supports Android 16, 33W charging and memory expansion of up to 2TB, placing emphasis on both performance and flexibility.
The NXTPAPER 70 Pro follows a similar formula but with a slightly smaller 6.9-inch 120Hz display and a leaner design. TCL describes it as a handset for people who divide their time between work, content creation and entertainment, with MuseFilm features, a 50-megapixel main camera, 8GB of RAM plus up to 16GB of extended memory and the same 5,200mAh battery. Industry coverage of the model’s earlier unveiling at CES 2026 also highlighted a dedicated NXTPAPER key and stylus support, underlining TCL’s aim to make the display easier to use for note-taking and creative tasks.
For buyers who care more about endurance than screen technology, the K70 Power 4G is the most affordable option. TCL says the phone can last up to three days on one charge, supported by a 5,200mAh battery, 33W fast charging and TÜV-certified reliability claims. The device also includes a 50-megapixel rear camera, 6.75-inch 120Hz display and Android 16, with introductory Philippine prices set at PHP 35,995 for the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, PHP 22,995 for the NXTPAPER 70 Pro and PHP 9,495 for the K70 Power 4G. TCL says the phones are available through Shopee in the Philippines.
