Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro are progressing towards an Indonesian release, having cleared key certification steps amid mounting speculation of a broader regional rollout.
Xiaomi appears to be moving closer to an Indonesian launch for the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro after both models surfaced in the Ministry of Industry’s local content database and in Komdigi’s device certification records. The filings suggest the phones have cleared key administrative steps needed for sale in the country, although that does not guarantee an immediate retail debut.
JagatReview reported that the two devices were listed under model numbers 26081RA18G and 2607DRA18G, both with 5G support and a local content score of 38.20%. The same report said 26081RA18G corresponds to the Redmi Note 17 5G, while 2607DRA18G is linked to the global version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G. That identification is supported by GSMA records and Thailand’s NBTC certification database, according to the report.
Komdigi’s database also shows the phones have already been certified. JagatReview said 26081RA18G received approval on July 21, 2026 under certificate number 124420/DJID/2026, while 2607DRA18G followed on August 5 under certificate number 125114/DJID/2026. Media reports in Indonesia have also tracked other Redmi Note 17 variants in the same certification process, including a Redmi Note 17 4G and a Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, pointing to a broader rollout strategy for the line-up.
If Xiaomi keeps the hardware unchanged from the China models, the Redmi Note 17 would come with a 7-inch OLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 silicon, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, a 50-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel selfie camera and an 8,000 mAh battery with 45W charging. The Redmi Note 17 Pro would step up to a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 50-megapixel main camera plus a 2-megapixel depth sensor, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 9,000 mAh battery with 67W charging. Xiaomi Indonesia has not yet announced a release date.
