Samsung’s new Warranty and care menu gives Galaxy users one place to check cover, run hardware tests, request repairs and contact support as One UI 9 rolls out.
Samsung has added a new “Warranty and care” area to the Settings app in One UI 9, giving Galaxy users a single place to check cover, run checks and reach support. The change is intended to reduce the need to move between Samsung Members, account pages and separate help screens. According to Samsung’s newsroom and reports from SamMobile and GSMArena, the menu is part of the company’s latest software refresh for its newer foldables and other eligible Galaxy devices.
At the top of the menu, users can see whether a device is still covered and can open a more detailed breakdown of that cover. Samsung distinguishes between statutory warranty and Samsung Care+, with the latter extending protection to areas that are typically outside standard legal cover, such as certain accidental damage scenarios and, in some plans, theft and loss. The company’s own description of the feature presents it as a way to make the current status of a device clearer at a glance.
The menu also includes a diagnostics section that links to Samsung’s built-in testing tools. These can check wireless functions such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and mobile connectivity, as well as hardware items including the microphone, speakers, buttons and touchscreen. AndroidPure and TechRepublic say the purpose is to bring routine troubleshooting into one screen rather than scattering it across several apps and support pages.
Support options are grouped below that. Users can open Samsung’s chatbot, submit a repair request with an estimated cost based on their cover, or start remote support through Smart Tutor, which requires an additional app and a technician-assisted session. The company says the menu is already present on newer models including the latest Galaxy foldables, and it is expected to reach more devices as One UI 9 rolls out more broadly.
